Roshni Foundation was established in October 2002. At the time of its establishment it was only a fairytale for group of three friends. They always dreamt of to work for the population of the remote areas especially in the field of education. In October 2002 the dream come true and Roshni foundation became reality and got registered with the Govt. of Pakistan under the society’s act 1860.

After the registration of Roshni Foundation we started work in some remote areas of Punjab, KPK and Azad Kashmir. In these days we were concentrating in Education and Medical Fields. We setup medical camps in remote areas and distributed free books. 

Unfortunately a devastating earthquake, measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale, hit the northern part of Pakistan on the morning of 8th October, 2005. 

On this sad occasion, we called all our missions and our helping hands in Pakistan and Abroad, and request them to help us in this disaster. We distributed food items, shelter kits and hygiene kits.

Again in 2010, after the deadliest flood hit Pakistan, We developed an urgent recovery and relief plan for Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa (KPK) which than expanded over to Punjab. This relief plan consisted of distribution of food items, hygiene kits and shelters. 

Roshni Foundation is a non-political, non-sectarian, non-commercial organization and non Governmental organization works in the field of education, poverty alleviation, health, legal aid and social welfare activities.
